EHS ERC, Safety Technician

Responsibilities
- Work in a High-Tech manufacturing facility to provide a safe environment for employees and visitors
- Monitor site life safety system including building fire alarm, toxic gas monitoring system, chemical and gas distribution system, etc.
- Monitor site life safety alarms, emergency calls, evaluate, respond and activate the site emergency response system.
- Support the site Emergency Response team.
- Presents training to employees on emergency response topics such as emergency procedures, evacuation.
- Plans, designs, and executes emergency response drills and desktop exercises, and evaluates the efficacy of the drills and exercise.
- Assists in maintaining readiness of emergency operations facilities, equipment, and personnel; checks, maintains, and stocks emergency supplies.
- Respond to fire, medical, and chemical events and emergencies.
- Conduct safety audit and inspections throughout the facilities, ensure safety policies and requirement are adhered to.
- Follow policies and procedures, and interface with other employees, contractors, and visitors
- Conduct employee and contractor safety audit to reinforce safety discipline in the workplace.
- Work is conducted inside and outside environments, covering our full site, and any safety activities
- Additional duties based on business needs, including ERT
Qualifications
- High School Diploma Required. Associates or Bachelor’s degree a plus
- 3+ years safety audit experience
- OSHA 30 hr. training a plus
- Comfortable addressing safety issues with contractors/vendors/TSMC employees
- Must be able to work independently and also work with a team
- Must be able to work compressed and/or varying work shifts (day, swing, and night shift)
- Able to comprehend and follow written policies
- Proficient with Microsoft Office: Word/Excel/Power Point
- Able to utilize computers with various programs
- Able to work effectively under pressure or in emergency situations.
