Infrastructure Services and Management IT Firstline Technician
THE ROLE
Monitor and provide fast recovery of vital infrastructure service and systems to include database servers, network switches and routers, and storage devices.
A successful candidate should be, a strong communicator, quick learner, and able to adapt to rapidly changing conditions. Have basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills and a broad IT knowledge base.
Be willing to work on a compressed rotating work week schedule including nights and holidays.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Troubleshoot alerts with the help of Standard operational procedures (SOP) and escalate to 2nd line if unable to resolve.
Administer quick recovery procedures using both remote and onsite options to minimize impact to Fab and Office users.
Work with 2nd line support personnel to find and implement fixes or workarounds.
Develop or review Standard Operational Procedure documents.
Assist with opening, tracking, and if asked follow-up of repair cases.
Provide occasional escort to vendors for onsite repairs.
Work with cabling and network teams to resolve FAB Tool connectivity issues.
Provide training and or feedback for critical events.
Provide occasional support for business or office users when needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Strong English speaking and communication skills. (Fluency in Mandarin is a plus but not required)
Flexibility to work on a compressed rotating work week schedule including nights and holidays.
Associate degree or equivalent work experience
Prior experience working on IT Helpdesk, or similar technical function is a plus.
Strong ability to communicate technical problems.
Able to work with remotely with 2nd line support personnel to resolve high visibility/outage causing cases.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Background in semiconductor industry is preferred, but not required.
