[Summer 2025] MFG Advanced Material Handling System (AMHS) Engineer Intern

TSMC Arizona is looking for a Manufacturing Advanced Material Handling System (MFG AMHS) talents to join our 5-nanometer fab, located in sunny Phoenix, Arizona. As an MFG AMHS Intern you will be immersed in the exciting world of Intelligent Manufacturing which fully utilize automation to transfer material from one location to the next. Our complex transferring system ensures the wafers can be delivered to their destination efficiently, timely and accurately. All interns will be a part of a 10-week technical development program within our state-of-the-art semiconductor facilities. This program is designed to identify future engineering leaders of TSMC Arizona. The development program will offer valuable industry and functional insight. You will have the opportunity to have a mentor and learn from senior engineers and executives at the company. Project scope can focus on DTA (Delivery Time Accuracy) improvement or Stocker dispatching system enhancements to improve lot movement overall cycle time.
What you will learn & how you will contribute:
Depending on the scope of the project but it will include data collection and analysis, understand the connection between production line and AMHS and co-working with cross-functional team to find solutions for improvement.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States and have:
- Must be currently enrolled at an accredited university, in one of the following degree programs: Bachelors and/or Masters in System/Robotic/Mechanical/Electrical/Transportation Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Must be able to work full-time (40 hours per week) on-site at our Phoenix location from
- Semester system: May 19, 2025 – August 1, 2025
- Quarter system: June 16, 2025 – August 29, 2025
- Technical skills: Data analysis and data driven conclusions. High level of MS excel knowledge, SQL, and basic programing ability. Possess general understanding of automated vehicle technologies and network system.
- Strong communication, computer, presentation, listening, working with others needed to contribute to the team and TSMC Arizona’s culture.
