TSMC Arizona IS looking for a Manufacturing Operation Section (MOS) intern to join our 5-nanometer fab, located in sunny Phoenix, Arizona. As a MOS Intern you will be immersed in the exciting world of Intelligent Manufacturing which utilize Smart Scheduling and Precise Dispatching along many other advanced technologies to drive productivity and efficiency in daily operation. Our objective is to deliver quality wafers to customers on time. All interns will be a part of a 10-week technical development program within our state-of-the-art semiconductor facilities. This program is designed to identify future engineering leaders of TSMC Arizona. The development program will offer valuable industry and functional insight. You will have the opportunity to have a mentor and learn from senior engineers and executives at the company. Project focus can range from productivity improvement actions, dispatching system enhancements and optimization, or improve quality defense system and enhancement.
What you will learn & how you will contribute:
Depending on the scope of the project but it will include data collection and analysis, understand the constraints and co-working with cross-functional team to find an improvement opportunity.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States and have:
- Must be currently enrolled at an accredited university, in one of the following degree programs: Bachelors and/or Masters Industrial Engineering, System/Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Must be able to work full-time (40 hours per week) on-site at our Phoenix location from
- Semester system: May 19, 2025 – August 1, 2025
- Quarter system: June 16, 2025 – August 29, 2025
- Technical skills: Data analysis and data driven conclusions. High level of MS excel knowledge, SQL, and basic programing ability. Possess reasonable understanding manufacturing science (Theory of constraints, capacity planning, and flow optimization)
- Strong communication, computer, presentation, listening, working with others needed to contribute to the team and TSMC Arizona’s culture.
