TSMC Arizona is looking for a Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) intern to join our 4-nanometer fab, located in sunny Phoenix, Arizona. As a CIM Engineer Intern you will have the opportunity to be a part of our DevOps team and contribute to analytical projects or machine vision tasks that aim to resolve production line issues using your technical expertise. All interns will be a part of a 10-week technical development program within our state-of-the-art semiconductor facilities. This program is designed to identify future engineering leaders of TSMC Arizona. The development program will offer valuable industry and functional insight. You will have the opportunity to have a mentor and learn from senior engineers and executives at the company. Example projects include [pattern recognition, machine learning, and web development].

 

What you will learn & how you will contribute:  Agile software development, utilizing agile methodology to implement Prometheus and Grafana monitoring services that were deployed to Kubernetes platform, implemented automated deployment pipelines utilizing Microsoft Azure DevOps and machine learning/statistics model or algorithms developed.

Example: You will be responsible for formulating a problem and implementing a precise algorithm to resolve a computational case, aiming for a near-optimal solution.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States and have:

  • Must be currently enrolled at an accredited university, in one of the following degree programs: Bachelors/Masters/PhD, Major in computer science, Information Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Mathematic or related fields.
  • Must be able to work full-time (40 hours per week) on-site at our Phoenix location from:
    • Semester system: May 19th, 2025 – August 1st, 2025
    • Quarter system: June 16th, 2025 – August 29th
  • Technical skills: Familiarity in programming languages such as C/C++/C#, Java, etc. Experiences and skills in system infrastructure architecture is a plus e.g., VMWare, Linux/MS solution, Nginx, K8S/Docker etc.
  • Strong communication, computer, presentation, listening, working with others needed to contribute to the team and TSMC Arizona’s culture.
