We are seeking a dedicated and a Senior Equipment Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will work within one of our varoius specialized equipment engineering teams, which may include Lithography, Etch, Diffusion, Implanter, Chemical Mechanical Polishing (CMP), and Thin Films. While this position is scheduled to work core business hours, Monday-Friday, there may be times when additional hours are necessary.
Job Responsibilities
- A module equipment engineer will work in one of the equipment engineering teams, such as lithography, etch, diffusion, implanter, chemical mechanical polishing, and thin films.
- Learn and understand tool design to enhance equipment availability.
- Maintaining equipment stability and driving improvements through logical problem-solving skills.
- Willing to work in a fab manufacturing environment that operates 24x7.
Job Qualifications
- Five years of semiconductor experience in any of the following fields: integration, product yield, lithography, etch, diffusion, implanter, chemical mechanical polishing, thin films, or quality engineering.
- Highly motivated with a strong technical background and capabilities to sustain tool availability for flash memory, analog and logic products.
- Minimum Bachlor degree in an engineering and scientific field such as Materials Science, Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or Optics.
- Solid technical understanding of IC processing equipment.
- Exhibit good and open communication skills.
- Able to work within cross-functional teams, including both internal and external customers.
- Solid knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE) principles.
- Hands-on participation in fab working environment and a strong sense of ownership.
- Ability to lead a cross-functional team to accomplish a complex task, including specifically defining a clear and measurable goal, initiating a strategic approach, overcoming task hurdles, and completing the task on time.

At TSMC, your base pay is only part of your overall total compensation package. At the time of this posting, this role typically pays a base salary between $113,373 and $142,948 per year. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires. Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range.
