Job Title: Senior Engineer

Job Description: Apply the principles of SoC (System on Chip) and high-speed low-power VLSI (Very Large Scale Integrated-circuits) design to perform advanced chip physical design and implementation for TSMC’s advanced processing technology, including block level floor plan, clock tree synthesis, place and route, RC extraction (parasitic extraction), STA (static timing analysis) and timing closure, IR/EM (voltage drop analysis/electro-migration) analysis and fix, DRC/LVS/ERC(Design Rule Check/Layout Versus Schematic/Electrical Rule Check) clean up, and tape-out sign off, using Perl/TCL language programming. Provide customer onsite support. Perform other related advanced chip implementation job duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, and five (5) years of experience in a related position.

Work experience must have included: Experience in physical design implementation from synthesis to GDS II, including floorplan, place and route, clock tree synthesis and signoff closer with timing closer, physical verification and IR closer; experience with major EDI tools including Innovus, ICC2, primetime, and Caliber; and experience in EDI tool flow development using Perl/TCL language programming.

Salary Range:  $163,363 to $175,000 per year

At TSMC, your base pay is only part of your overall total compensation package. At the time of this posting, this role pays a salary range of $163,363 to $175,000/year. The range displayed reflects the minimum target for new hires. Actual pay may be more than the posted wage.
