Summer 2025 - Analog and Mixed-Signal Design Intern (6532)

Overview of Role

As an Analog and Mixed-Signal Design Intern, you will contribute to the design and mixed-signal verification of high-speed wired and/or wireless interface circuit components using Cadence virtuoso design flow. You may also work with layout designers to see your design through post layout verification phase. You will report to the Department Manager of the Advanced Connectivity Department in Austin, Texas. We are currently operating in a hybrid work schedule with 4 days in office.

 

This Internship Program is open to students currently enrolled in a reputable University that are graduating in 1 year with a MS/PhD degree. The Summer 2025 internship will begin in May 2025 and continue through August 2025 with the possibility of extending further beyond.

 

Responsibilities

  • Literature review, development and verification of low noise, and high linearity circuit components for high-speed interfaces
  • Work with team members with expertise in device, circuit, and system architecture
  • Documentation

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • PhD degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering OR MS degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • Solid background in device physics and fundamentals
  • Solid analog and mixed signal design fundamentals
  • Good understanding of analog to digital converter fundamentals and variations
  • Good understanding of high-speed wireless interfaces (noise, linearity, etc)

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands on experience in analog and mixed-signal tape-out in planar or Finfet technologies
  • Basic understanding of SoC integration and physical design
  • Ability to work with Matlab and simulink design environments
