As an Implant Equipment Engineer, you are responsible for the tool troubleshooting and productivity/particle/cost improvement, which includes AMAT Quantum, VIIsion80 High Current Implanters, E500 Medium Current Implanters and Axcelis High Energy Implanters. Equipment Engineer is also in charge of PM checklist and SOP for technicians to follow. TSMC WA is a fast-paced semiconductor-manufacturing environment offering a variety of challenges. This is an exempt position and additional work hours may be requested at times and requires carrying a pager and responding swiftly. While this position is scheduled to work core business hours, Monday-Friday, there may be times when additional hours are necessary.

 

The salary ranges for this position are outlined below:

 

Entry level salary range: $66,912 - $100,368

Mid-level salary range: $80,294 - $120,442

Senior level salary range: $92,647 - $148,236

 

The final offered salary will be determined based on the selected candidate’s qualifications.

 

 Responsibilities include: 

  • Work closely with Manufacturing, Module Engineers and other Technicians to improve the overall area/tool performance and meet quality and manufacturing goals.

  • Will work on AMAT Quantum/VIIsion80 High Current Implanters, E500 Medium Current Implanters and Axcelis High Energy Implanters as a tool owner.
  • Responsible for continuous improvement in Productivity, Particle and Cost, as well as Scrap Reduction.
  • Highly self-motivated to initiate actions and solutions to prevent occurrence of any tool abnormal events.
  • Interact with Process Engineers and MFG group to perform tool improvement or event prevention.
  • Requires working in a clean room environment.

 

Requirements: 

  • All applicants must possess legal authorization to work for any employer in the United States, and the employer cannot provide sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.
  • BS or MS degree in Electronic Mechanical, Electrical or related engineering field.

  • Must be willing to work a graveyard shift.

  • 2+ years’ experience with AMAT xR/Quantum, ViiSion80 High Current Implanters, or Axcelis High Energy Implanters.

  • Demonstrate basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.

  • Able to use electronic and/or test equipment.

  • Able to use tool manuals and follow established processes and procedures.
