Who We're Looking For:
As a CMP Equipment Technician, you will perform troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on polishers, scrubbers, stockers and PST sorters. Prefer the candidate have mechanical and electronics background. The basic understanding of electrical test equipment (i.e. DVM, Oscilloscope) is preferred. Needs to be a team-oriented person capable of clear communication with on shift technicians and engineers, as well as able to work solo on projects and tool problems. Support and be involved with troubleshooting, maintaining and improving CMP equipment, components and assemblies; will assist with all tasks related and assigned to the equipment group. Has to be willing to learn new responsiblities as required. Candidate dispays teamwork and “can do” attitude as well as positive outlook under high pressure. Responsibilities will vary widely and the job is continuously evolving. Should be a strong team player with a good attitude.
Responsibilities included but not limited to::
- Will work on AMAT Mirra polishers. This is the main process tool in CMP and heaviest work load.
- Will work on DNS scubbers. This is a key process tool in CMP with detailed rebuild requirements.
- Will work on PST sorters. This is a heavily used tool that transfers product in all areas of the fab.
- Will work on Daifuku stocker system. This is a system used to transport wafers to various areas in the fab.
- Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process or quality system.
- Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities
Requirements:
Minimum Requirement:
- Should be a strong team player with a positive attitude.
- Mechanical background as hobby or work, background working on electronics as a hobby or work or enrollment in a Associates program for STEM related fields.
- Attention to detail and safety is key.
- Ability to work on day or night shifts on 12 hours compressed shift structure.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to spend majority of shift on feet, both walking and standing, with occasional sitting.
- Frequent coordinated use of hands.
- Lift and or carry up to 56 pounds.
- Pushing or pulling 66 pounds.
- Occasionally reach, bend forward while standing, or squat.

Work Location & Schedule:
This position operates on-site at our Camas, Washington location assigned to a 12-hour day or night shift compressed work week schedule with 3 days on one week and 4 days on the next. there may be occasions when additional hours are necessary to meet project demands.

At TSMC, your base pay is just one component of your comprehensive compensation package. For new hires in this position, the starting salary typically ranges between $21.50 and $23.74 per hour. The full salary range for this Job Grade extends from $21.50 to $25.74 , depending on factors such as skills, qualifications, education, experience, tenure, and position level. TSMC’s total compensation package also includes market-competitive pay, profit sharing and incentive bonuses, and tuition assistance.
