Facilities Engineer Equipment Installation

TSMC WA is currently in search of a Facilities Engineer (Equipment Installation) with a strong focus on tool layout/hookup design and project management. This position will oversee the installation of manufacturing and support equipment tools as well as manage related design and construction projects. The individual will work closely with the Senior Equipment Installation Engineer to solve daily operational issues and develop long-term solutions for improving equipment reliability. Key responsibilities include managing installations, performing equipment start up, ensuring operational performance, improving system reliability, controlling costs, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, expanding manufacturing capacity, and collaborating with TSMC to review and implement best known methods and practices (BKM/BP) as needed. Additionally, this role will oversee system hardening efforts to ensure a secure and reliable facility.

 

While this position is scheduled to work core business hours, Monday-Friday, there may be times when additional hours are necessary.

 

The salary ranges for this position are outlined below:

 

Entry level salary range: $66,912 - $100,368

Mid-level salary range: $80,294 - $120,442

Senior level salary range: $92,647 - $148,236

 

The final offered salary will be determined based on the selected candidate’s qualifications.

 

 Responsibilities include: 

  • Capital project planning, design, expenses, and all other aspects of execution through equipment start up, commissioning, PM planning, and all other documentation
  • Overall systems performance, operating costs, reliability, daily operations (24X7), engineering projects, and continuous improvement programs
  • Responsible for developing long term engineering solutions for assigned systems to monitor and predict/prevent potential failures
  • Develop procedures/training/troubleshooting modules for Facilities Technicians and Engineers
  • Oversee daily operations, and provide resolutions to daily recurrent operational issues
  • Provide continuous support to the operation group as required
  • Carry a pager, respond to call in events for equipment ownership, and other assignments as directed
  • Engineering design drawing support, field verification for P&IDs & layouts, AutoCAD

 

Requirements: 

  • All applicants must possess legal authorization to work for any employer in the United States, and the employer cannot provide sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.
  • Mechanical, Electrical or other related engineering BS degree is required
  • 3-5+ years of directly related experience with high-tech manufacturing, tool install, semi-conductor, or related industry experience
  • Ability to work in a team environment and oversee technicians, vendors and contractors
  • Experience performing major construction activities or maintenance in a high-tech industry is preferred
  • Strong professional attitude with a focus on safety, teamwork skills, self-motivation, reliable work execution, attention to detail and continuous improvement, as well as a knack for innovative problem solving
  • Knowledge of electrical infrastructure preferred
  • Computer skills including MS office and AutoCAD
