Who We're Looking For:

TSMC, the world's leading independent semiconductor foundry, is seeking highly motivated, results-oriented, and forward-thinking individuals to join our team as a Facilities Engineer - Life Safety Systems . This pivotal role is located within our fast-paced semiconductor manufacturing environment at TSMC WA, offering a dynamic range of technical challenges and opportunities for significant impact. Facilities Life Safety Systems Engineer will be part of a team consisting of other Engineers and Technicians who partner together to best manage system design, maintenance, and improvements (scope of work) in an Industrial Facilities setting. The Systems Engineer prepares plans for systems under their ownership and the scope of work which will affect those systems. 

 Responsibilities include but not limited to: 

• Troubleshooting and maintenance of Life Safety Systems including Fire System (fire detectors, suppression equipment, and control systems) and Gas Monitoring System (detection and controls).
• Propose improvements in system design, component selection, and maintenance plans to optimize system reliability and sustainability.
• Implement team ideas in terms of construction, configuration, and operation.
• Responding to system alarms even on nights and weekends to maintain manufacturing reliability. 

Requirements: 

• Engineering degree in related field
• 3+ years of relatable experince
• Familiarity with programming (C++ or C#, ladder logic, Python, or SQL)
• Thorough command of Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook) and Windows
• Team player, solution-minded, takes ownership, self-managed.
• Can manage difficult terrain, stairs, extended periods standing / walking, and can safely lift 35-lb objects and can balance field and desk work.
• NICET-certified in Fire Systems (Preferred)
• Active in auto mechanics, programming, mechatronics, robotics or construction. (Preferred)

Physical Requirement:

• Ability to spend majority of shift on feet, both walking and standing, with occasional sitting.
• Frequent coordinated use of hands.
• Lift and or carry up to 56 pounds.
• Pushing or pulling 66 pounds.
• Occasionally reach, bend forward while standing, or squat.

Work Location & Schedule:

This position operates on-site at our Camas, Washington location during core business hours, Monday through Friday 8 am – 5 pm; however, there may be occasions when additional hours are necessary to meet project demands.

Pay Transparency & Other Compensation:

At TSMC, your base pay is just one component of your comprehensive compensation package. For new hires in this position, the starting salary typically ranges between $92,220 and $124,664 per year. The full salary range for this Job Grade extends from $92,220 - $135,480 depending on factors such as skills, qualifications, education, experience, tenure, and position level. TSMC’s total compensation package also includes market-competitive pay, profit sharing and incentive bonuses, and tuition assistance.

* This position is also eligible for a Sign-On Bonus depending on various factors.

* This position is also eligible for a Relocation Bonus depending on various factors.
