IT Technician

We are currently seeking a qualified Technician for our IT department. The position requires strong proficiency in both hardware and software computer systems, with the ability to maintain and restore office and Fab IT systems to ensure seamless 24x7 factory operation support. The Technician will be expected to carry an phone/pager while on duty, serving as the first-line responder to address user issue escalations and system alerts. Additionally, the position requires a willingness to work inside a clean-room environment for up to 12-hours per shift.

 

The salary range for this role is $23.44 to $33.98 with a typical starting rate of $27.00 per hour.  The final offered salary will be determined based on the selected candidate’s qualifications.


The role is usually designated for a compressed work week schedule of 12-hour day or night shifts, where the employee works for 3 days one week and 4 days the following week, and is required to work 100% on-site.

 

 Responsibilities include: 

  • Responsible to perform first line issue identification and recovery of the factory automation system following procedures. 
  • Help to maintain and improve existing fully automated factory system functionalities by working with engineers and users on system testing and upgrade.
  • Answer helpdesk calls to help internal users with questions and problems concerning computer systems, hardware, and software.
  • Assist IT engineers working on special projects and assignments.

 

Requirements:

  • AS or AA in Technology/Engineering related field.
  • 1-2 years Helpdesk, PC tech support, or network experience.
  • Proven troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
  • Team player with flexibility, positive attitude, and open mind to learn new technologies.
