Maintenance Technician
As a member of the Facilities team, the Facilities Technician (Maintenance) is entrusted with the upkeep of all furnishings and equipment within and around the facility to maintain their optimal function and safety. This position requires strong commercial door repair knowledge. The anticipated shift is Monday through Friday, however; flexibility may be requested to support special projects or activities. Overtime may be available.
The salary range for this role is $23.44 to $33.98 with a typical starting rate of $27.00 per hour. The final offered salary will be determined based on the selected candidate’s qualifications.
Responsibilities include:
- Strong commercial door and door hardwareknowledge
- Repair bathroom fixtures
- Lite wall repair
- Painting
- Construction of office furniture and cubicles
- Fixture replacement
- Door repair
- Ceiling tile replacement
- Minor landscaping tasks
- Cleaning
- Pressure washing
- Parts research and ordering
Requirements:
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions including manuals and product manuals.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work.
- Basic understanding of mechanical, plumbing, and electrical with ability to problem solve and repair.
- Basic understanding of vehicles and repairs.
- Basic carpentry skills.
- Basic tractor operations.
- Ability to use computer to document work status.
- Utilize effective customer service skills.
- Ability to stand or walk for most of an 8-hour shift, climb ladders and lift up to 50 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to self-manage and strong customer service skills.
