Who We're Looking For:

At TSMC, we are dedicated to building world-class cloud-native infrastructure to support our global operations. Our North America Software Center is looking for a passionate software engineer to join our team and contribute to the success of TSMC fabrication worldwide. This entry-level position is ideal for someone with a solid software technical background and a keen interest in large-scale distributed system.

 

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Develop software services and applications with high quality standards.

  2. Support refactoring and enhancing existing applications.

  3. Participate in writing and executing various tests (unit/feature/integration) to ensure software quality.

  4. Collaborate with peers in design, pair programming, and code reviews.

  5. Engage in the full lifecycle of services from creation and design to deployment, operation, and refinement.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  2. Familiarity with data structures and algorithms.

  3. Basic experience with software development in one or more programming languages, such as Java, C#, Python, Go, Rust, or other relevant languages.

  4. Exposure to cloud computing platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.

  5. Understanding of source code version control tools or services like Git, GitLab, GitHub, etc.

  6. Strong communication skills for interacting with team members and partners.

  7. Interest in learning container-based workload management using Kubernetes or similar orchestration software.

Eligibility: Applicants must have legal authorization to work in the United States. We cannot provide visa sponsorship at this time. Employment is contingent upon passing a background check and drug screening, excluding cannabis testing in compliance with Washington state regulations.

 

Location & Schedule: This role is based on-site in Vancouver, Washington, operating Monday through Friday, 8 am – 5 pm. Additional hours may be required to meet operational demands.

 

Compensation & Benefits:

  • At TSMC, your base pay is just one component of your comprehensive compensation package. For new hires in this position, the starting salary typically ranges between $90,000 and $129,150 per year. The full salary range for this Job Grade extends from $90,000 - $142,200 depending on factors such as skills, qualifications, education, experience, tenure, and position level. TSMC’s total compensation package also includes market-competitive pay, profit sharing and incentive bonuses, and tuition assistance.

  • Comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, and access to a 401(k) plan with employer match.

  • Employees enjoy 10 holidays per year and accrue paid time off annually.
