Sr. Facilities Engineer - Mechanical

Our Facilities Department is actively seeking a seasoned Senior Facilities Mechanical Engineer to manage a specific subset of mechanical systems, determined by experience and current system ownership. The primary mission of the Facilities Department is to ensure uninterrupted operations and provide necessary support to the manufacturing process, while consistently aiming to improve system efficiency and stability, and reduce operational costs. We are looking for a proactive professional with a high level of mechanical aptitude, exceptional technical troubleshooting skills, and a demonstrated ability to execute tasks effectively.
Responsibilities include:

Oversee overall systems’ performance, operating costs, reliability, daily operations and maintenance (24/7), and engineering and continuous improvement projects.

Manage detailed design, budget, scope of work, construction management, system acceptance testing, and project commissioning.

Develop and implement long-term engineering solutions and improvements.

Work closely with and help oversee facilities mechanical technicians as well as external contractors and vendors.

Schedule and coordinate all work on assigned mechanical systems, including troubleshooting and repairs.

Provide continuous support to the operations and manufacturing departments as needed.

Create and implement preventative maintenance plans as needed.

Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.

Ensure compliance with all permit-related requirements.

Other assignments as directed.
Requirements:
-
3+ years of related experience
-
BS or above in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
-
Experience in a construction or manufacturing environment, Semiconductor environment is preferred.

Technical project management or construction management experience.
-
Technical troubleshooting experience (mechanical, electrical and controls), with an emphasis on attention to detail.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated leadership capability.
-
Hands-on experience with mechanical equipment and related tools.
-
Ability to juggle various ongoing projects and maintenance activities, task management and prioritization is a must.

Familiarity with facility mechanical/HVAC systems (boilers, chillers, cooling towers, process cooling water, clean room systems, piping systems, fans, pumps, and motors, air handling equipment, scrubbers, control systems, etc.); semiconductor specific experience is a plus.

Possess a working knowledge of industrial codes.

Some level of detailed engineering design experience including development of P&IDs, layout drawings, scope-of-work documents, etc.

Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint), AutoCAD; SCADA and PLC experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

Ability to remain stationary for extended periods, primarily while working at a desk, with occasional movement around the facility.

Frequent use of a computer, which involves looking at screens for extended durations.

Occasionally required to carry items weighing up to 12 pounds.

Work Location & Schedule:
This position operates on-site at our Camas, Washington location during core business hours, Monday through Friday 8 am – 5 pm; however, there may be occasions when additional hours are necessary to meet project demands.

At TSMC, your base pay is just one component of your comprehensive compensation package. For new hires in this position, the starting salary typically ranges between $88,672 and $121,924 per year. The full salary range for this Job Grade extends from $88,672 - $133,008 depending on factors such as skills, qualifications, education, experience, tenure, and position level. TSMC’s total compensation package also includes market-competitive pay, profit sharing and incentive bonuses, and tuition assistance.
