Japan Advanced Semiconductor Manufacturing, Inc. (JASM) is a subsidiary established in Kumamoto Prefecture with majority investment from Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited (TSMC), the pioneer of the dedicated IC foundry business model. This factory, the first in Japan for TSMC, includes minority stakeholders Sony Semiconductor Solutions Corporation, Denso Corporation, and Toyota Motor Corporation. To meet the robust global demand for semiconductors, JASM's combined production capacity across its facilities is projected to exceed 100,000 wafers per month (converted to 300mm wafers). The company will manufacture semiconductors for applications such as automotive, industrial, consumer electronics, and high-performance computing (HPC) using process technologies including 40nm, 22/28nm, 12/16nm, and 6/7nm.

Facility Engineer Introduction
Facility Engineers are technical leaders responsible for the design, implementation, operation, maintenance, repair, and improvement of infrastructure, including site, buildings, cleanrooms, utility supply systems, and material delivery systems for front-end semiconductor fabrication plants.
At JASM, systems are divided into specialized areas such as Public Utility, Mechanical, Electrical, Water Treatment, Gas/Chemical Supply, Projects, and Semiconductor Equipment Hook-Up. Each system is essential, forming the foundation that supports JASM’s semiconductor manufacturing capabilities.
Facility Engineers at JASM are "key players" who support the cutting-edge semiconductor factory both physically and technically. The experience you gain here will deepen your expertise and empower you to shape the innovations of the future.
Responsibilities
At the time of hiring:
You will be responsible for the following management tasks related to the maintenance and operation of facility power systems:
1. Management operations for facility electrical systems (Extra high-voltage equipment 66KV, medium to low-voltage equipment, UPS/emergency generator systems, SCADA, and other monitoring systems).
2. Analyze parameter data, alarms, and SPC charts gathered from the systems mentioned above to promote preventive maintenance, improve system reliability, and optimize energy efficiency.Perform system risk analysis and enhance supply quality in alignment with product technology requirements.
3. Conduct system risk analysis and contribute to enhancing the supply quality in line with product technology requirements.
4. Respond to abnormalities, perform root cause analysis, and propose and implement countermeasures to prevent recurrence.
5. Engage in discussion and collaborations with TSMC global sites.
Scope of Work Changes:
The company reserves the right to reassign personnel to other duties and all designated tasks.
Minimum Qualifications
1. KOSEN (Senkoka) or bachelor's degree or higher.
2. Academic background in technical/scientific fields.
3. Language (Japanese): Business-level proficiency or higher (N1).
4. Language (English): Commitment to maintain or develop your English proficiency.
5. Demonstrate strong alignment with TSMC's ICIC values: Integrity, Commitment, Innovation, and Customer Trust. Applicants should showcase integrity in their actions, a proactive attitude in achieving goals, a collaborative spirit in teamwork, and innovation in their problem-solving approach.
6. Possess logical reasoning skills.
7. Ability to create professional documents and deliver effective presentations as an engineer.
8. Able to work night shifts (details will be explained during the recruitment process).
Preferred Qualifications
1. Work experience or specialized knowledge in electrical system.
2. Language (English): Business-level proficiency.
3. Language (Mandarin): Conversational ability.
4. Relevant work experience in semiconductor-related industries.
5. Certification holders: Energy Manager, Class II Chief Electrical Engineer.

2. Working Days and Hours
Day shift: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM (5-6 weeks)
Evening shift: 3:30 PM - 12:30 AM (1 week)
Night shift: 12:00 AM - 9:00 AM (1 week)
