Overview of Role

TSMC Design Technology Canada Inc., has unique career opportunities for two (2) permanent full-time experienced SRAM Compiler Design Engineers.

 

You will join a leading-edge SRAM design team, within TSMC R&D. You will have the enviable opportunity to learn and work alongside a professional and diversified team who do research and design on the world’s most advanced CMOS/FinFET processes. This will involve detailed implementation of high-speed and high-density memory circuits. You will be joining a small and highly experienced team, within a vast and world-renowned Semiconductor company. The work is intense. The rewards are memorable. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating as part of a Memory Design team to design, analyze and verify SRAM integrated circuit memories
  • Learn and utilize state-of-art tools and flows
  • Analysis of design and creation of testbenches to test the functionality of the design (simulation and verification)
  • Collaborate with product engineering team on debug and characterization of silicon test vehicles
  • Work in partnership with layout to produce optimal physical implementations
  • Responsible, as part of the team, for overall IP product delivery all the way to compiler release
  • Proactively seek out and propose innovative solutions to SRAM design issues
     

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s and/or PhD (research) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from a Tier-1 University
  • 5-10 years well rounded and relevant SRAM design knowledge and compiler design experience: circuit tuning & optimization, timing & margin analysis, design verification, characterization, and release
  • Experience working on various memory architectures with a track record of successful tapeouts across multiple tech nodes
  • Experience with complex flows and dealing with large amounts of data
  • Able to understand and/or manipulate various scripts written in Perl, Python or Bash
  • Excellent de-bugging skills, ability to multi-task and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and writing) in English
