Corporate Safety Manager

The Corporate Safety Manager will drive the overall safety strategy for TSMC-AZ. Develop safety standards, implementing safety directive, assist management to improve the safety performance and align safety policies and procedures with Federal and State OSHA regulations. Work closely with production safety, construction safety and manage the contractor safety program.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Safety Partnership: Build and maintain a trusted partnership with the Operations team to support both tactical and strategic safety initiatives aimed at reducing accidents and improving safety culture.
- Safety Procedures Management: Develop, update, and maintain written safety and health procedures to comply with company policies and state and federal regulations.
- OSHA Compliance: Serve as the subject matter expert on OSHA compliance, acting as the primary point of contact for all safety-related issues.
- Process Reviews: Participate in new process evaluations, including job hazard analysis, and deliver necessary training for new processes.
- Risk Assessments: Conduct risk assessments to minimize hazards, reduce losses, and address concerns.
- Responsible for the ISO45001 certification for the AZ facility.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
- Education:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental or a closely related field.
- At least 7+ years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified for a Health and Safety professional in an industrial/manufacturing setting.
- Technical Skills:

- In-depth knowledge of OSHA, DOT, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001, and other relevant safety regulations.
- Effective Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey safety procedures and expectations.
- Problem-Solving: Skilled in conducting risk assessments, hazard analyses, and proactive problem-solving to minimize risks.
- Adaptability: Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adjust strategies based on changing regulations and operational needs.
- Organizational Skills: Manages multiple projects and safety programs, ensuring timely completion and compliance.
- Understanding of both Federal OSHA and Arizona Division of Occupational Safety and Health.
- Proficient in tracking and reporting safety metrics, including leading and lagging indicators.
- Interpersonal Skills:
- Effective Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey safety procedures and expectations.

- Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Frequent walking throughout the facility and between departments as part of daily operational tasks.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 20-25 pounds.
- Specify any unique physical requirements beyond common tasks like lifting, bending, or extended walking.
- Training:
- Ability to travel to Taiwan for training for up to 1 month (if applicable).
