Electrical Foreman

Electrical Foreman
- The Electrical Foreman leads field electricians in the installation of electrical systems for industrial or high-tech facilities. This is a working foreman role that balances hands-on electrical work with crew planning, QA compliance, and coordination with supervision. The foreman ensures that systems are installed per code, on schedule, and ready for inspection and turnover.
Responsibilities:
- Crew Leadership & Planning:
- Plan and assign daily tasks to electricians based on drawings, priorities, and access
- Ensure material, tools, and equipment are staged and ready for each task
- Monitor productivity, safety, and quality of field work
- Coordinate with general foremen, CM teams, and other trades for access, scope splits, and sequencing
- Field Installation Oversight:
- Supervise conduit routing, wire pulling, equipment setting, and terminations
- Participate in and oversee terminations of equipment and panels
- Ensure adherence to code and project specifications across all installations
- Enforce correct procedures, labeling, and identification on all installed systems
- QA, Safety, and Documentation:
- Validate QA log entries (wire IDs, conduit tags, torque logs)
- Prepare systems for testing: continuity, insulation resistance, and functional testing
- Support redlines, as-built documentation, and punch list response
- Lead toolbox talks, stop-work enforcement, and day-to-day field safety compliance
- Mentorship & Reporting:
- Mentor and develop apprentices and journeyman electricians
- Provide status reports to superintendents and planning teams
- Communicate material shortages, design issues, or schedule blockers proactively
- Maintain tool inventory and field equipment in proper working condition
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
- Education:
- Highschool diploma or equivalent
- 6-10+ years of electrical field experience
- Active state or local journeyman electrical license required
- Technical Skills:
- Deep understanding of NEC and project electrical installation standards
- Strong skills in reading complex electrical drawings (power, controls, fire alarm, etc.)
- Proven ability to lead teams, prioritize tasks, and maintain install pace and quality
- Experienced in QA interface, pre-functional testing prep, and inspection readiness
- Interpersonal Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work habits
- Demonstrated crew leadership in industrial or commercial projects is preferred
- Physical Requirements:
- Capable of lifting materials, working on ladders/lifts, and standing for long periods of time
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of apprenticeship program
- Completion of internal or external foreman training
Shift Expectations:
TSMC Arizona operates 24/7, 365 days a year. This position requires candidate to have ability and willingness to work any shift (day or night) in a compressed work week schedule once training is done. The compressed work week shift structure is Work 4 days on, 3 days off for one week and 3 days on, 4 days off the next week. Shift is 12 hour shifts from 6am to 6pm or 6pm to 6am.
