TSMC Arizona is looking for a Facility Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) /BIM Technician to join our new fab design team, located in sunny Phoenix, Arizona.

Job Description:

  • Work with BIM managers and engineers to create CAD drawings and 3D BIM models for facility systems and buildings.
  • Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure drawing/BIM model quality and coordination.
  • Conduct 3D clash detection using Navisworks and coordinate with subcontractors to resolve clashes.
  • Collaborate with space managers and engineers to develop space usage principles and workflows.
  • Generate space management drawings.
  • Communicate across the organization, collect design information from users, and coordinate meetings for system engineers and users to align design requirements.
  • Document and maintain CAD drawings and 3D model versions.
  • Take meeting minutes, consolidate lessons learned, and create Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and documentation.
  • Schedule and track the progress of 3D models and space management coordination drawings.
  • Conduct onsite facility system verification, spot checks, and measurements to ensure systems are installed correctly as modeled.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States and have:

  • Extensive experience in BIM software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks, is required.
  • Knowledge of Dynamo software is a plus.
  • Previous construction/design work experience is required. Experience with MEP and building design is preferred.
  • Semiconductor factory VDC/BIM and space management experience considered a plus.
  • Experience working at a construction site is required.
  • Good communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office software.
  • Fluency in English speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Daily onsite work is required; remote work is not an option.
  • B.S. degree in Architectural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields is considered a plus.
  • A professional certificate in BIM modeling is highly desired.

 

Candidates must be willing and able to work on-site at our Phoenix Arizona facility.
