Global Logistics Specialist
TSMC Arizona is seeking a proactive and meticulous Global Logistics Specialist to ensure the seamless flow and compliance of our global inbound and outbound shipments. This critical role coordinates complex logistics solutions, manages essential documentation, and upholds strict trade regulations, directly contributing to our operational efficiency and international trade success. You will play a crucial part in supporting our global supply chain and ensuring the timely delivery of critical materials and equipment for our state-of-the-art semiconductor manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and track daily inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Implement effective logistics solutions and coordinate cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders to meet delivery targets.
- Prepare, process, verify, and maintain all necessary transportation and customs documentation for import and export shipments.
- Ensure strict compliance with all relevant trade laws, customs regulations, and export controls.
- Manage Foreign-Trade Zone (FTZ) compliance, including required tasks and preparing annual reports.
- Oversee logistics service providers, ensuring adherence to service level agreements.
- Manage and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics service providers.
- Review and process logistics-related payment operations.
- Proactively identify, assess, and resolve complex logistics challenges and exceptions (e.g., delays, transportation hiccups).
- Continuously identify and implement opportunities for process improvement within logistics operations.
- Organize and lead weekly meetings with freight forwarders and maintain daily communication to ensure timely information exchange.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Logistics, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong understanding of import/export procedures, Foreign-Trade Zones (FTZ), Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) codes, and international freight compliance (customs regulations, documentation, clearance, export control).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with Logistics Inventory Systems or similar customized software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Proven ability to think critically, analyze data, and resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize workloads, manage concurrent projects, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to handle stress effectively and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a strong ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Capable of analyzing data quickly and accurately to inform decision-making.
- Typical shift is 9am - 6pm.
