Position Summary:
We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Logistics Specialist to support our daily shipping and receiving operations. In this entry-level role, you will track shipments, prepare essential documentation, and collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure goods arrive on time and in compliance with trade regulations. Key Responsibilities:
- Shipment Tracking & Coordination: Monitor daily inbound/outbound shipments to ensure on-time delivery; update real-time tracking systems and databases.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate daily shipping activities, communicating effectively across internal engineering, procurement, and logistics teams.
- Documentation & Compliance: Prepare, verify, and organize physical and digital customs and transportation documents for compliance auditing.
- Vendor Management: Maintain daily data exchanges with freight forwarders and carriers to assist in preparing weekly performance reviews.
- Issue Resolution: Resolve transit delays and cargo exceptions by gathering shipping data and implementing prompt solutions.
- Financial Support: Process and validate basic logistics invoices, billing data, and payment transactions within financial systems.
- Data & KPI Analysis: Gather logistics performance data and update KPI dashboards to track carrier and vendor efficiency.
- Record Keeping: Maintain structured digital databases and physical filing systems for shipping records and customs entries.
- Inventory Control: Support inventory tracking workflows, reconciling physical warehouse stock with digital system records.
- Warehouse Liaison: Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure shipments are systematically packed, labeled, and dispatched on schedule.
- Systems & Tools: Assist with testing and implementing new digital logistics tools and software to improve operational workflows.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related technical field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with Logistics Inventory Systems or equivalent enterprise software.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Problem-Solving: Proven ability to think critically, analyze data quickly/accurately, and resolve issues effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Organization: Highly organized with the ability to prioritize workloads, manage concurrent tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
- Interpersonal Skills: Proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable to changing priorities; able to work both independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications (Pluses):
- Experience with data flow automation, machine learning, or AI-driven supply chain projects.
- Understanding of the semiconductor equipment and materials supply chain.
- High learning agility with a proven ability to translate innovative technical ideas into practice.
Work Requirements:
- Location: Candidates must be willing and able to work on-site at our Phoenix, Arizona facility.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform standard office tasks, including extended periods of sitting, walking, and light lifting/bending as required in a warehouse or office setting.
- Travel (Optional): Ability to travel to Taiwan for training for up to [insert number, e.g., 3-6] months (if applicable).
