TSMC Arizona is looking for a Life Safety Systems Engineer to join our 4-nanometer fab, located in sunny Phoenix, Arizona. TSMC Arizona’s New FAB Design Department is responsible for designing code-compliant life safety systems, including, but not limited to, fire alarm, fire suppression, emergency responder radio coverage, firefighter air replenishment, and gas detection.
Job Description:
Your main responsibilities include:
- On-site supervision and management of the construction and installation of life safety systems, ensuring compliance with design drawings, construction specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Coordinating and managing contractors to ensure construction progress, quality, and safety meet project requirements.
- Reviewing construction documents, shop drawings, and material submittals to ensure consistency with approved designs and specifications.
- Conducting periodic and ad-hoc on-site inspections to monitor construction quality, identify, and resolve potential issues or non-conformities.
- Responding to Requests for Information (RFIs) during the construction process and assisting in resolving technical issues that arise on-site.
- Participating in and documenting meetings related to construction progress, quality, and safety, ensuring key decisions and action items are tracked.
- Assisting with the testing, commissioning, and final acceptance of life safety systems, ensuring their functionality meets design intent and operational requirements.
- Proactively communicating with internal teams and external contractors to ensure all stakeholders have a clear understanding of construction requirements and progress.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in fire protection engineering ,mechanical engineering or construction management, or equivalent experience in semiconductor
- At least 1-3 years of experience in the U.S. in fire construction or a related field.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent grasping, manipulation, and occasional twisting, bending, stooping, squatting, or reaching, desk-based computer work, including data analysis and documentation.
