A Power BI Analyst and Platform Developer with expertise in HR analytics leverages the Microsoft Power Platform to create insightful data solutions, automate processes, and develop custom applications that drive business decisions. This role combines technical proficiency in Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate with a strong understanding of HR data, ensuring secure and scalable solutions for internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Power BI Development
- Design, develop, and deploy interactive Power BI dashboards and reports tailored to HR analytics and business needs.
- Create efficient data models and write advanced DAX formulas for complex calculations and measures.
- Connect to diverse data sources, ensuring data quality and consistency through ETL processes using Power Query.
- Optimize report performance, scalability, and security, including automated data refreshes through the Power BI Service.
Power Platform Development
- Develop custom applications using Power Apps (canvas and model-driven) to address HR-specific workflows and requirements.
- Automate HR processes and workflows using Power Automate.
- Integrate Power Platform solutions with Microsoft services like SharePoint, Microsoft 365, and Dynamics 365 to enhance data accessibility.
Data Integration and Management
- Build robust data models and connect to various data sources (e.g., HRIS platforms like SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, or Oracle HCM).
- Use connectors, APIs, and Microsoft Dataverse to integrate data securely and efficiently.
Collaboration and Support
- Partner with HR teams, business users, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver tailored data-driven solutions.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users on Power BI dashboards and Power Platform tools.
- Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to develop and maintain data pipelines and infrastructure.
Platform Governance and Security
- Implement data governance policies to ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and protect sensitive HR data.
- Manage the lifecycle, security, and scalability of Power Platform solutions.
Key Skills and Qualifications
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and tell compelling stories.
- Proficiency with Power BI Desktop, including dashboard creation, advanced DAX formulas, and Power Query.
- Experience in Power Apps and Power Automate for application development and workflow automation.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, VBA).
- Knowledge of data modeling, database fundamentals, and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations and handling sensitive HR data.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Experience
- 3+ years of experience in HR analytics, business intelligence, or a data-related role.
Nice to Have
- Experience with HRIS platforms such as SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, or Oracle HCM.
- Basic SQL knowledge or experience with other BI tools like Tableau.
- Background or education in Human Resources or understanding of HR operations.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure services (e.g., Azure Data Factory).
- Relevant Microsoft certifications (Power Platform, Power BI).

Candidates must be willing and able to work on-site at our Phoenix, Arizona facility.
Standard work hours: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
