Principal Construction Engineer - Brief Description
Perform engineering design evaluations and work to complete projects within budget and schedule restraints. Review industry policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Review reports of production, malfunction, and maintenance to determine or address problems.
  • Provide technical support for the engineering process.
  • Design, implement, and communicate an operational plan for completing the project.
  • Monitor progress and performance against the project plan.
  • Take action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays.
  • Identify, develop, and gather resources necessary to complete the project.
  • Prepare engineering designs and work specifications.
  • Develop project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Select materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors.
  • Supervise engineers, drafters, and/or technicians on a project basis.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:

  • Must have a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Management, or a related field, plus 3 years of experience in an engineering role.
  • Alternatively, company will accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Management, or a related field, plus 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in an engineering role.

 

Technical Skills:

 

  • Must have two (2) years of experience in project management.
  • Must have one (1) year of experience with semiconductor manufacturing principles, practices and techniques as they relate to engineering and maintenance.
  • Must have one (1) year of experience in piping design and 3D modeling.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Candidates must be willing and able to work on-site at our Phoenix Arizona facility.

Standard Work Hours: 40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
