SOP Enhancement Specialist – Fixed Term Contract

 

TSMC Arizona is looking for a 12-month Fixed TermSOP Enhancement Specialist to join our new state-of-the-art fab, located in Northern Phoenix, Arizona. We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Enhancement Specialist to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring the clarity, efficiency, and effectiveness of SOPs used in the semiconductor manufacturing field. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to review, refine, and enhance SOPs, ensuring they meet industry standards and support operational excellence. 

 

This is a temporary 12-month fixed term, on site contract position.

TSMC is looking to hire SOP Enhancement Specialists in the following departments.

  • Facilities (FAC)
  • Training Promotion Team (TPT)

Key Responsibilities:

  • SOP Review and Analysis: Evaluate existing SOPs to identify areas for improvement in clarity, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Content Development: Collaborate with SMEs, engineers, and field operators to gather detailed information and insights necessary for SOP enhancement.
  • SOP Enhancement: Rewrite and restructure SOPs to improve readability, usability, and accuracy.
  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure all SOPs adhere to regulatory and industry standards, as well as company policies.
  • Training and Implementation: Assist in developing and delivering training programs to ensure field personnel correctly implement revised SOPs.
  • Continuous Improvement: Establish and maintain a process for regular review and continuous improvement of SOPs.
  • Documentation and Version Control: Maintain accurate records of all SOP versions and revisions, ensuring proper documentation practices.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with manufacturing, quality assurance, safety, and regulatory teams to ensure comprehensive and aligned SOPs.
  • Feedback Integration: Gather and incorporate feedback from field personnel and other stakeholders to refine SOPs.
  • Technical Documentation: Create, edit, and standardize various types of documentation such as user manuals, training materials, installation guides, and reports.
  • Illustrative Materials: Select and integrate drawings, diagrams, chards, and screenshots to illustrate materials.
  • Technical Research: Conduct research and ensure the use of proper technical terminology.
  • Content Management: Use content management tools for document creation and maintenance, ensuring high-quality documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Required
    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Technical Writing, Instructional Design, English, Communication, or a related field.
    • Minimum of three years of experience in technical writing, preferably in the semiconductor manufacturing industry.
    • Proven experience in SOP development or enhancement.
    • Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and industry standards.
    • Proficiency in documentation tools and software
    • Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
    • Ability to work independently or under general direction.
    • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
    • Hands-on experience with content management tools and illustration software.
    • Ability to deliver high-quality documentation with attention to detail.
    • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable.
  • Desired:
    • Preferred experience in the semiconductor manufacturing industry.
    • Background in engineering

Additional Information:

  • This position may require occasional travel to manufacturing facilities for on-site evaluations and collaboration.

Candidates must be willing and able to work on-site at our Phoenix Arizona facility.
