TSMC Arizona is looking for a Senior Compensation Analyst to join our 4-nanometer fab, located in sunny Phoenix, Arizona. Job Description:

The Sr. Compensation Analyst works under minimal direction to provide professional and technical expertise in the planning of compensation projects and programs to support our business needs while meeting all audit and regulatory requirements. Participates in large-scale compensation projects managing assigned areas and design analysis to achieve project purpose and timeline; and provides mentoring and technical expertise to the department to ensure smooth implementation. Researches and analyzes emerging trends, best practices and designs, costs, generates insights and recommends program changes/options to align with key stakeholders. Advises the HR team and business on existing compensation programs, policies, and guidelines to ensure understanding and smooth implementation. Acts as the day-to-day contact on compensation matters liaising with other key stakeholders, including AZ IT, AZ Finance & Payroll, external vendors, other TSMC US entities and our Headquarter TRD to support cross-functional work efficiency and alignment.

  

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Creates data models and supports tool development efforts across the department.
  • Sets up complex spreadsheets, performs required compensation & data analytics and collects stakeholder feedback to develop and recommend solutions for unique business challenges.
  • Conducts extensive qualitative/quantitative analysis on overall structure and pay programs including market analysis, incentive analysis, job leveling, benchmark assessment, cost/benefit analysis, compliance, pay equity, and organizational impact in a timely manner.
  • Participates in implementing compensation strategies to improve operational processing and productivity in a startup environment.
  • Develops, ensures audit of, and maintains complex excel reports to support data analysis and set up and administration of annual merit and bonus cycles as assigned.
  • Supports offer exceptions process for assigned levels. Educates & advises HR partners on compensation programs, including how they can analyze and communicate pay administration programs.
  • Supports company audits as needed.  Ensures company compliance with relevant audits, laws and regulations. Maintains required documentation as assigned for policy, procedures, controls, and plans.
  • Develops training material to support programs for HR.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Mathematics, or related field.
  • Seven (7) years of compensation experience with at least two (2) years of progressive, professional experience in compensation program design, preferably in a multi-national corporation or consultancy firm and desirable industry experience in semiconductor, hi-tech, or manufacturing/engineering environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of compensation best practices, audit and regulatory environments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced excel skills to include experience building data models, v-lookup, pivot-tables, formulas, willing to learn macros.
  • Strong math skills and understanding of statistics and regression analysis.
  • Experience with HCM, PeopleSoft desirable
  • Experience with surveys, Radford and WTW desirable
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is a must.
  • Excellent collaboration & communication skills, both verbal and written, across different level and functions of organization.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking and learning ability, with a strong desire to pursue continuous improvement & work excellence.
  • Resilient when facing challenges and flexibility to work extended time to complete work commitment on a timely basis in a start-up environment.
  • CCP in progress or completed highly preferred.
  • Onsite work required.
