Workforce Development Specialist 1

The Workforce Development Specialist provides administrative, recruitment, learning management and project management support for the TSMC Apprenticeship Program.

This position is a full-time temporary position. Candidates selected will be hired by our vendor, or as a TSMC contractor, with the potential to convert to a non-temporary direct TSMC employee based on factors like performance, attendance, etc. This position is on-site at our Phoenix office located at 5088 W. Innovation Cir. Monday-Friday.

 

JOB DUTIES

  • Support the implementation of an innovative workforce development strategy for the semiconductor apprenticeship program.
  • Assist OJT learning mapping for the apprenticeship program. Serve as a learning admin to keep track of on-the-job training hours and completion for apprentices.
  • Keep track and execute according to the Project Plans
  • Support stakeholders in recruiting, onboarding and offboarding apprentices.
  • Provide administrative support to document apprentices work hours for reporting purposes.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all communication and information related to consumers, employees, and business relations.
  • Attend marketing and networking events to establish Consumer Direct in the community. Participate in job fairs, vendor fairs, community education, workforce development, and outreach activities (i.e., posting flyers) as requested or assigned.
  • Performs other duties as assigned, including but not limited to answering phones, interviewing, training employees, faxing, filing, assisting with referrals, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in Learning and Development, workforce development, or human resources preferred •
  • Must maintain reliable transportation and valid insurance for some in-state travel • Must be able to pass a background screening successfully.
  • Must possess strong project management, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Must possess strong analytical skills and experienced in Excel.
  • Ability to succeed in team-based or independent environments.
  • Well-organized with the ability and attention to detail. Able to handle several programs simultaneously.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Dedicated work ethic with a commitment to customer service excellence
