Business Operations Specialist (6592)

Overview of Role

As a Business Operations Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the seamless operation of our semiconductor business processes. You will be responsible for managing and optimizing the purchase order (PO) process, handling shipping logistics, Partner with Account Managers for business engagement and co work with accounting department to smooth the payment processing and conducting disposition reviews. This role requires a proactive approach, a sense of urgency, and a strong ownership attitude to ensure that operations run smoothly. You will report to the Operations Manager in the Business Operations Department. This position is based in San Jose, CA.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end PO process and ensuring timely and accurate processing of purchase orders.
  • Coordinate shipping/forwarder logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to resolve operational issues.
  • Partner with Account Managers to establish business engagements.
  • Participate in customer business review meetings, conference calls and customer visits
  • Co-work with accounting team in processing payments, audit and resolving any related issues.
  • Collaborate with IT/B2B cross-functional teams to streamline business operations projects and improve efficiency.
  • Conduct detailed disposition reviews to assess and recommend actions for inventory management

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 1-6 years of experience in a semiconductor or related industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing environments.
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to take initiative with a results-oriented approach.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP systems or supply chain management software.
  • Familiarity with shipping and logistics processes.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and payment processing.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Prior experience in business operations or administrative support roles.

Pay Transparency / Benefits statement

At TSMC, your base pay is only part of your overall total compensation package. At the time of this posting, this role typically pays a base salary between $70,000 and $110,000 per year. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires. Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range. Factors that influence pay include the individual's skills, qualifications, education, experience and the position level and location.  TSMC’s total compensation package consists of market competitive pay, allowances, bonuses, and comprehensive benefits.
