Job Title: Design Engineer

 

Job Descriptions: Responsible for the Design Rule Check, Layout vs. Schematic checking and fix all PDV/EMIR/Noise/SigEM violations and errors. You may also do customization and implementation of top clocks and implement timing ECOs on high performance blocks. Specific job duties include: DRC/LVS/ERC/ANTENNA analysis and clean up; Floorplan analysis and congestion solution; Power IR/EM analysis and fix; Signal EM/Noise analysis and fix; Physical verification sign off; Implement ECOs for timing closure; Customized Clock tree structure; and May also perform floorplan, place and route.

 

Requirements: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or a related field.

 

Work experience or academic coursework must have included: Work experience or academic background must have included: Knowledge of computer system organization, including CPU structure at logic design level, computer arithmetic and memory hierarchies; knowledge of MOS technology, circuit design and analysis area, delay, layout level design and verification; knowledge of VLSI system design, including power, performance and area optimization; knowledge of VLSI design flow and EDA development tools, including simulation tool, layout tools, place and route tool; experience on full-customized VLSI design project, from RTL to GDSII, including synthesis, layout generation and verification; and experience in hardware description language Verilog and scripting language, such as Python

Salary Range:  $156,853/year to $157,200 /year.

At TSMC, your base pay is only part of your overall total compensation package. At the time of this posting, this role typically pays a base salary between $156,853/year to $157,200. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires. Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range.
