As a Memory Layout Engineer based in San Jose, CA, this critical role is to work on the latest technologies with circuit designers in the memory IP team. You will report to the Senior manager of our Layout Design Engineering Team and work on TSMC’s latest process.
Responsibilities:
- Work with circuit designers to push the edge of the envelop on product and circuit performance in the most advanced geometries
- Work with other IC design engineers to implement top quality layout for optimized block and chip level design
- Ensure the database is fully compliant with all requirements of tape-out flow
- Hook up from leaf cell to top level & floor planning.
- SRAM memory compiler layout (bit cell, pitch cell, IO & logic). Signals and Power buses planning.
Minimum Qualifications
- BS/MS degree in Electrical Engineer or related field with minimum 7 years’ experience
- Experience in 5nm and below technology node
- Proficient in Cadence layout editor and physical verification tools
- Track record of leadership in a team environment
- Ability with good project management, make good time estimates for completion, and meet the commitments
The successful candidate will also possess the following:
- Be flexible to on-the-fly design changes and rule changes, which are inevitable when evaluating post-layout results and ramp up on the newest technologies
- Able to work standard business hours consistently and to work extended hours when needed to meet critical project tape out delivery dates
- A self-motivated, creative person with a strong work ethic and entrepreneurial mindset
- Excellent communication skills.
