Overview of Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and technology-driven IT Assistant to support our customized iPhone system deployment. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for our mobile deployment initiative. Your main responsibilities will include configuring iPhones, scheduling appointments, conducting brief user training sessions, and troubleshooting initial post-deployment issues.
Additionally, we are looking for a candidate who can leverage AI productivity tools to streamline workflows, optimize deployment performance, and reduce manual effort. The ideal candidate has a passion for technology, a customer-service mindset, and an innovative approach to problem-solving.
This hybrid role, with a 4-day in-office work schedule, is based in San Jose, CA.
Responsibilities
- Device Configuration & Setup: Prepare, configure, and provision iPhones with specialized corporate configurations and applications, ensuring compliance with security standards.
- Scheduling & Coordination: Actively schedule pickup appointments with employees and manage the distribution calendar to ensure an organized rollout.
- Process Optimization via AI: Utilize AI-powered tools to optimize scheduling, draft clear user communications, and streamline daily administrative tasks to reduce manual effort.
- User Training & Content Creation: Provide brief, clear, hands-on training to users upon device pickup. Leverage AI translation or formatting tools to quickly generate FAQs, troubleshooting guides, and user onboarding materials.
- Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Deliver Tier 1 technical support for the new iPhone system (connectivity, app functionality, user settings). Use AI troubleshooting assistants to rapidly diagnose complex errors and find efficient solutions.
- Issue Escalation & Reporting: Track deployment progress and escalate complex technical problems to senior IT staff when necessary.
Minimum Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High school diploma required; Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is a plus.
- Prior experience in IT support, helpdesk, customer service, or technology deployment projects (internships and school project experience are welcome).
Skills & Competencies
- Technical Knowledge: Strong familiarity with iOS mobile devices, iOS settings, and app troubleshooting. Basic knowledge of Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 suite is required.
- AI Literacy: Hands-on experience or strong familiarity with AI productivity tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude) to draft documentation, solve technical queries, and automate repetitive tasks.

- Customer Service: Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
- Organization: High attention to detail and strong scheduling skills to manage high-volume device distribution.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proactive mindset of "using technology to solve technical problems.

At the time of this posting, this role typically pays an hourly rate between $32 and $38 per hour. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires.
