The European market is served out of our office in Amsterdam by a multi-cultural team of account managers, marketing, technology and business support specialists.
Due to our EMEA customers strongly expanding their product design activities also into the US, TSMC Europe has an immediate vacancy. The ideal candidate will report to the Head of Field Technical Support and Marketing in Europe and will perform the following tasks based out of our office in San Jose, CA. We are currently operating in a hybrid work schedule with 4 days working onsite.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with European customers to understand and support their technical needs for product development with Logic, MS/RF or other Speciality technologies, from 0.25um to 2n.
- Provide market feedback and demand analysis for above listed TSMC offering and support the formulation of respective marketing material and roadmaps
- Support TSMC Europe Account Management team to engage customer projects worldwide
- Interface with TSMC Business Development, Operation, Design & Customer Support teams in Taiwan to support and to define technical solutions for customer product development projects
- Support customer Design Ecosystems with Libraries, IPs, PDKs, and customization and consultation services
- Identify and resolve technical issues to ensure customer product tape-outs on time and first-time silicon success
- Advocate and market TSMC’s technical solutions and services
- Align with TSMC’s European customer account team on a regular basis and on short term notice for critical items
- Hosting the US based customer design teams for the US TSMC symposia (e.g. San Jose, Austin)
- Travel to customers’ sites in various US locations and holding regular f2f workshops there
- Travel to EMEA customer account team in Europe and joining for alignment meetings in Asia and TSMC HQ in Taiwan
Minimum Qualifications
- A BSc. Degree or Master Degree in Electronics Engineering or related subjects.
- Experience profile: minimum 15+years direct experience in circuit or VLSI design, and/or design and verification methodology development
- Solid knowledge of CMOS based logic, MS/RF, HV or NVM process technologies
- Familiarity with function and use of EDA tools, Libraries, PDK and IPs
- Self-motivated and proven ability to manage complex projects involving cross functional teams
- Written and oral fluency in English is essential
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers from engineering to executive level
- Willingness to travel within Europe and occasionally to Taiwan is required
Preferred Qualifications
- Oral fluency in a second European Language or Mandarin would be a benefit
- Customer facing and/or supporting experience is a plus

Pay Transparency / Benefits statement
At TSMC, your base pay is only part of your overall total compensation package. At the time of this posting, this role typically pays a base salary between $125,000 and $210,000 per year. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires. Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range. Factors that influence pay include the individual's skills, qualifications, education, experience and the position level and location. TSMC’s total compensation package consists of market competitive pay, allowances, bonuses, and comprehensive benefits. We also offer extensive development opportunities and programs.
