RF Design Leader (Senior Manager / Deputy Director)

Overview of Role  As a RF Design Leader (Senior Manager / Deputy Director), you will lead and manage RF design teams up to 30 people on projects in advanced technologies, with a focus on Design and Technology Co-optimization (DTCO).  You will report to the Director of RF Solutions.  The role is located in San Jose, CA and we are currently operating in a hybrid work schedule with 3 days in office. 

 

Responsibilities

  • A multifaceted role, you'll be working in partnership with process technology (fab) and the customer-facing business development teams. 
  • The preferred candidate will be strongly technical with an interest and/or experience engaging with customers.
  • Ability to travel up to 35% annually (International).

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience working in RF IC industry in device, circuit, and product levels, with at least 5 years in RF transceiver designs (including cellular, wi-fi, Bluetooth)
  • Familiar with RF design flows and simulations tools (Spectre-RF, HFSS …)
  • Proficiency with process technologies to drive Design Technology Co-optimization for chip-level PPA advantages
  • A good track record of leading a team of at least 20 people through product execution
  • Relevant Master's or PhD (ie Electrical or Electronics Engineering)
  • Great communication and presentation skills for all levels

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Good communications skills in English
  • Ability to speak Mandarin is a plus

At TSMC, your base pay is only part of your overall total compensation package. At the time of this posting, this role typically pays a base salary between $$161,500 and $277,000  per year. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires. Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range. Factors that influence pay include the individual's skills, qualifications, education, experience and the position level and location.  TSMC’s total compensation package consists of market competitive pay, allowances, bonuses, and comprehensive benefits.
