Who We're Looking For:

At TSMC, we are dedicated to building world-class cloud-native infrastructure to support our global operations. Our North America Software Center is looking for a passionate software engineer to join our team and contribute to the success of TSMC fabrication worldwide. The ideal candidate will possess rich technical expertise across multiple engineering disciplines and excel in pushing the boundaries of complex system design on a large scale.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Lead and manage software projects with a focus on strategic direction.

2. Oversee the development of high-quality applications.

3. Drive continuous improvement by refactoring existing applications.

4. Ensure robust software quality through rigorous testing (unit/feature/integration).

5. Collaborate with Software Engineers to define and monitor SLI/SLO, ensuring application sustainability and performance.

6. Foster a collaborative environment through design sessions, pair programming, and code reviews.

7. Guide the entire lifecycle of services from inception and design to deployment, operation, and refinement.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics-related fields, or equivalent practical experience.

2. At least 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.

3. 8 years of experience in software development using languages such as Java, C#, Python, Go, Rust or other relevant programming languages.

4. A minimum of 3 years of experience in cloud computing with AWS, Azure, or GCP.

5. 3 years in a technical leadership role, setting direction and leading project teams.

6. Proficiency with source code version control tools like Git, GitLab, GitHub, etc.

7. Strong communication skills for updates and resolutions with customers and partners.

8. Experience managing container-based workloads using Kubernetes or other orchestration software.

Eligibility: Applicants must have legal authorization to work in the United States. We cannot provide visa sponsorship at this time. Employment is contingent upon passing a background check and drug screening, excluding cannabis testing in compliance with Washington state regulations.

Location & Schedule: This role is based on-site in Vancouver, Washington, operating Monday through Friday, 8 am – 5 pm. Additional hours may be required to meet operational demands.

Compensation & Benefits:

• At TSMC, your base pay is just one component of your comprehensive compensation package. For new hires in this position, the starting salary typically ranges between $166,800 and $223,050 per year. The full salary range for this Job Grade extends from $166,800 - $241,800 depending on factors such as skills, qualifications, education, experience, tenure, and position level. TSMC’s total compensation package also includes market-competitive pay, profit sharing and incentive bonuses, and tuition assistance.
